Our goal is to assist a diverse group of applicants, such as nonprofits, schools, community organizations, and individuals. Below, you’ll find information on available grants designed to meet the unique needs of Ohio’s communities. We encourage all eligible applicants to seize these opportunities and contribute to meaningful change.

Eligibility: School District, Non-Profit, Higher Education.
Application Due Date: February 6th, 2025
Summary: The aim of this grant is for organizations that provide direct services to adults in need of literacy assistance in one of the following areas: adult basic education, GED or High School equivalency, and English Language acquisition.

Funding Opportunities For Youth Leaders and Youth-Led Programs
Amount: $750
Eligibility: Non-profit, School District, Other
Application Due Date: February 14th, 2025
Summary: The Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation (OSPF) is accepting proposals for best-practice suicide prevention activities planned and completed by youth-led programs in Ohio. Proposals may be connected to programs and campaigns already supported by OSPF, such as Sources of Strength and Be Present Ohio, or programs unconnected to OSPF, like SADD and original youth-led programs.

Community Impact Grants

Summary: The purpose of this program is to support nonprofit organizations proposing projects that strategically align with the funding agency’s core areas of focus. The funding agency ultimately seeks to address food insecurity, nourish an inclusive culture, and make an impact on hunger.

Corporate Giving

Summary: This program aims to support innovative, effective, and measurable projects proposed by nonprofit organizations that will enhance the quality of life in communities served by CenterPoint Energy. The funding agency prioritizes projects that serve low-to moderate-income populations. The most competitive applications will be capital or programmatic.

Community Grant: Martin Luther King Jr. Corridor Community Improvement Grant

Summary: The purpose of this program is to support Keep America Beautiful (KAB) affiliates, nonprofit organizations, local governments, and other community organizations to help communities by revitalizing, beautifying, and transforming areas in, and around, Martin Luther King Jr. corridors and neighborhoods.

Sustainable Food System Initiative
Amount: $50,000
Eligibility: State Govt., City Govt., County Govt., Non-Profit, Higher Education

Summary: Danone Institute North America (DINA), a nonprofit foundation partially supported by Danone North America, promotes sustainable food systems across the U.S. and Canada. In 2025, DINA will launch two competitive programs to fund innovative, community-based food initiatives:
- Sustainable Food System Initiative (SFSI): Funding up to five transdisciplinary teams to develop projects improving nutritional health.
- SFSI: Focus on Food: Co-funded by the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR), this program will support up to three teams in advancing North America’s food supply emphasizing community, human, and planetary health.

The Burpee Foundation Grant

Summary: This program aims to reduce hunger and promote well-being through investment in horticultural and agricultural projects. Funding will be provided to nonprofit organizations that will support the use of horticultural as a means for community building through school-age and adult educational programs, healthy eating, worker training, horticultural therapy, community gardening, and more.

Virtual Fence Conservation Fund
Amount: $250,000
Eligibility: Non-Profit
Application Due Date: Rolling
Summary: The purpose of this program is to empower ranchers and agricultural landowners, conservation organizations, and Indigenous communities to adopt virtual fencing technology on public and private lands. By testing and expanding this pioneering technology, this programs aims to support both wildlife and woking lands. In addition to monetary awards, the funding agency’s Conservation Innovation Lab will provide guidance and support throughout the project implementation.
