Upcoming Info Session on July 23

The Ford Auto Tech Scholarship application is due on August 31, 2024!

We will be holding an additional informational session on the Ford Auto Tech Scholarship program application on Tuesday, July 23 at 4 pm PT / 5 pm MT / 6 pm CT / 7 pm ET.

In line with previous sessions, our Programs Manager at LNESC Dallas, Roger Romero, will be available to answer any questions you have about the application process for the scholarship. This includes how to set up your profile on the TechForce application website and tips for a strong application!

This unique fund supports student pursuing careers as automotive technicians. The program awards $5,000 scholarships ($2,500 per semester) to students seeking careers in auto and auto/diesel technology.

As a way of showing our continued appreciation to our attendees, we will be holding a raffle for two VISA gift cards during our upcoming information session. Two lucky winners will receive a $25 VISA gift card! To enter the raffle, all you have to do is attend our upcoming information session.

At LNESC, we are proud to recognize the importance of investing in the future of students and allow them to not only be lifelong learners, but also make the dream of attending college a reality. This partnership with the Ford Fund and TechForce Foundation allows us to support students who are passionate about pursuing a degree or certificate in automotive technology.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must fit the following criteria:

  • Must be pursuing a degree or certificate in automotive technology (including diesel) in the following areas: Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Detroit, Kansas City, Memphis, Miami, Phoenix, Seattle. You can find the full list of eligible schools here.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or have approved DACA status
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Must be an enrolled or active automotive or auto/diesel student in good standing at a post-secondary institution
  • Must have a completed and approved FAFSA with an EFC under 40,000 on file at campus (DACA students will have financial need verified by campus)
