Get involved with Mobile Vaccination Units – The Ohio Department of Health (ODH)

Get involved with Mobile Vaccination UnitsThe Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Office of Health Opportunity (OHO) has deployed fully staffed Mobile COVID-19 Vaccination Units (MVU) throughout Ohio, with a focus on Ohio Health Improvement Zones with the lowest rates of vaccination. The MVUs are implementing temporary vaccination sites in partnership with site community hosts, such as local medical partners and community-based organizations. Through this ongoing vaccination campaign, ODH strives to ensure that all Ohioans have access to COVID-19 vaccines. View a list of currently scheduled clinics at coronavirus.ohio.gov. ODH is looking for local partners to help ensure that MVU clinic events are effective and beneficial for the community. Organizations can partner with ODH in different ways:

  • Provide physical space for MVU clinics. This can be a parking area for the mobile unit, or an indoor pop-up clinic location.
  • Advertise and connect community members to a vaccination clinic in their neighborhood.
  • Partner with a planned mobile clinic site to offer other onsite services, such as food, assistance, connections to social services, or other services to benefit the community.
  • Supply and store the COVID-19 vaccine on behalf of the MVU. Please note that only medical partners who are authorized by ODH to receive, manage, and administer COVID-19 vaccine may store vaccine.

If your organization or office is interested in partnering with ODH, please complete the mobile vaccine partner interest form. Send any questions to Vaccine Program Manager Olivia Brown at olivia.brown@odh.ohio.gov.
